Responsibilities

• Administers medications including controlled substances by all routes and blood products.
• Starts IVs, accesses life ports, maintains CVLs, and manages venous access.
• Provides patient and family education and documentation in the medical record system.
• Communicates with physicians, patients, families and healthcare team to coordinate care.
• Maintains infection control and safety standards and adheres to hospital policies.
