Job summary

Join our team at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant in the Intermediate Cardiac Care unit. You will work nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, coordinating with caregivers to provide a welcoming, healing environment for patients within ICC 3S/3N.

The role offers opportunities to learn, advance education, and pursue higher positions in a supportive hospital setting on the Treasure Coast of Florida.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within new hire period.
• Nursing students: BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing caregivers, promote patient comfort and carry out nursing orders.
• Transport patients by wheelchair, bed or stretcher.
• Conduct EKG and phlebotomy duties.
• Attend to patient and family needs and problems.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as dressing, bathing and hygiene.
• Report pertinent information regarding patient condition to appropriate nursing staff.
• Assist in tray setup and feeding.
• Document care provided in the medical record.
• Collect and transport specimens.
• Provide RNs/LPNs with accurate intake/output data and vital signs.
