Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Florida is seeking a Patient Care Nurse Assistant to support the 3 South/3 North Intermediate Cardiac Care Unit. You will assist with patient comfort, nursing orders, and mobility, while working with a collaborative clinical team using modern technology.

The role involves EKG and phlebotomy duties, documentation, daily living assistance, and timely communication of patient needs to RNs/LPNs.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS Certification through AHA or Red Cross within new-hire period.
• Nursing students: BLS Certification upon hire.
• CNA Certification preferred.
• Six months of acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist nursing caregivers, promote patient comfort and carry out nursing orders.
• Transport patients by wheelchair, bed or stretcher.
• Conduct EKG and phlebotomy duties.
• Attend to patient and family needs and problems.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as dressing, bathing and hygiene.
• Report pertinent information regarding patient condition to appropriate nursing staff.
• Assist patients with tray setup and feeding.
• Restock supplies daily and order supplies from Central Supply.
• Document care provided in the medical record.
• Collect and transport specimens.
• Provide RNs/LPNs with intake/output data, vital signs and glucose results.
• Respond to call lights within five minutes.
• Report patient needs to an RN/LPN immediately.
• Assist in the removal of equipment for room cleaning.
