Job summary

Allina Health's United Hospital in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant for the Cardiac Intermediate Care unit. The role is 0.7 FTE (56 hours per two-week pay period), 28 hours per week, day/evening shifts, with every other weekend. You will work under a RN to deliver patient care and support the cardiac unit.

Requirements include CNA program or nursing rotations or Allina Nursing Assistant Academy, and BLS certification. Wage range is competitive with union adjustments.

Qualifications

• Must have completed CNA program or nursing program rotations or Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy Program or previous direct patient care experience.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross or Allina in-house BLS training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of a RN, assists in the delivery of patient care, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, moving and transporting patients, and changing linens.
• Collects and documents vital signs and other patient observations.
• Provides assistance with ambulation, transfer, positioning and ROM as ordered.
• Observes safety practices, prevents falls, and reports environmental risks to supervisor.
• May transport medications within the site as needed.
