Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Cardiac Unit at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL. The role covers 12-hour nights and requires providing basic nursing care under an RN or physician, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.

Qualifications include Alabama LPN license, BLS, IV and ACLS certifications, and BVP training; one year of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Alabama state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
• IV certification within 30 days and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certification within 60 days and maintain current.
• BVP training within six months of hire and maintain current.
• One year experience in an applicable setting, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care services within scope of practice.
• Meet communication needs of patient and family.
• Work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Nurses provide CPR, patient care, update documentation, specimens and vital signs.
• Read and monitor EKGs.

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), internally referred to as LPN or LVN, in our Cardiac Unit at Riverview Regional Medical Center (Gadsden, AL), a member of Prime Healthcare. As an LPN/LVN in our Cardiac Unit, you will provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, focusing on tasks like monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care
• Meets the communication needs of the patient and family
• Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Nurses provide CPR, Patient Care, Update Documentation, Specimens and Vital Signs
• Read and monitor EKGs

Qualifications
