Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician at Unity Hospital in Rochester, NY. This role provides direct or indirect patient care per treatment plans, supporting licensed nursing staff and contributing to a positive patient experience.

The position is part-time with rotating days, evenings, and nights, including every other weekend. Requires minimum age 18; associates degree preferred and CNA or Nursing Fundamentals experience valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• Associates degree preferred; Nursing Fundamentals, CNA certification, or related health‑care experience are strongly preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning of equipment, changes bed linens, stocks supplies, and prepares rooms for admissions.
• Provides safe, competent care for nutritional, skin integrity, elimination and hygiene needs, including bathing and grooming.
• Performs a variety of clinical duties under RN supervision, including vital signs, pulse oximetry, EKG, and admission/discharge processes.
• Collects and disposes of specimens per procedure.
• Demonstrates communication, compassion and professionalism.
• Assists with safe ambulation, transfers, and uses lift devices appropriately.
• Follows safety initiatives and participates in post‑mortem care as required.
• Responds promptly to patient call lights and requests for assistance.
