Job summary

North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA) seeks an MD or DO anesthesiologist for UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA. The role includes performing preoperative assessments, developing anesthesia plans, and delivering anesthesia care across a range of procedures, with a focus on patient safety and team collaboration.

The position offers a 26-week schedule with 2 weeks on/off or 7 on/7 off, no OB, and opportunities for sign-on incentives and additional stipends.

Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures.
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent.
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients.
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitoring of patient condition and perform interventions as needed.

Position Requirements Description The UPMC Hamot Medical Center is a regional tertiary-care medical facility, referral hub, and Level II trauma center based in Erie, PA. Here, the focus is on healing, health, high quality, and education. With over 400 beds, the hospital provides an extensive range of inpatient and outpatient services for the community. UPMC Hamot has almost 4,000 employees, including over 650 members on the medical team. The anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and surgeons at UPMC Hamot have an excellent rapport. Case Assignments & Schedule

• Schedule: 26 weeks on/off schedule: Option for 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off or 7 days on, 7 days off. No in house call, no 1st or 2nd call.
• Only 3rd call.
• No OB, some general, mainly cardiac.
