Job summary

North American Partners in Anesthesia (Maryland), LLC is assisting UPMC Western Maryland in recruiting an anesthesiologist to provide comprehensive anesthesia care across diverse surgical cases. Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia evaluations, plan development with patients, and managing all phases of anesthesia while supporting leadership and coordination within the department.

Candidates must hold MD or DO, complete an accredited anesthesiology residency, be board eligible or certified,

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Completion of Anesthesiology Residency
• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• Current medical licensure
• ECFMG/FLEX (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
• Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership

UPMC Western Maryland is a voluntary nonprofit, short term acute care hospital with 240 Medicare certified beds and is a member of the Western Maryland Health System. UPMC Western Maryland provides healthcare services for residents in Allegany and Garrett Counties in Maryland and surrounding counties in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Salary: $625K Cardiac Stipend: $25K Sign on Incentive: $75K

Case Assignments & Schedule

• Schedule: Various Shifts . No in house call. Beeper call.
• Cases include, but are not limited to, Ortho, General, Neuro, and GYN.
