Job summary

UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA seeks an Anesthesiologist for a week-on, week-off night float schedule (7p-7a) in a care-team model. Join a high-collaboration environment with ortho, neuro, general surgery, transplants, and OB/GYN services.

Requires MD/DO, completed residency, board eligibility/certification, and current medical licensure. Excellent compensation with a $565K base salary and a $75K sign-on, plus a comprehensive benefits package including malpractice coverage, loan repayment, generous PTO,

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of Anesthesiology Residency.
• Board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology.
• Current medical licensure to practice medicine.
• ECFMG/FLEX (if applicable) for international graduates.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures.
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent.
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients.
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitor the patient’s physiological status and intervene as needed.
• Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Anesthesiologist opportunity at UPMC Hamot with a 26 weeks on and 26 weeks off schedule. The UPMC Hamot Medical Center is a regional tertiary-care medical facility, referral hub, and Level II trauma center based in Erie, PA.
