Job summary

Albany Medical Center, the Capital Region’s academic medical center, seeks cardiac anesthesiologists to join its Cardiac Anesthesia Division in the Department of Anesthesiology. The role features a high-volume program including CABG, valve, and aortic surgery, with opportunities to teach fellows and residents.

Qualifications

• Open cardiac anesthesia program with high volume (CABG, valve, aortic surgery)
• Opportunities to teach cardiac anesthesia fellows, residents, SRNAs and medical students
• Engage in clinical and educational research with experienced mentors
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists and intensivists in a multidisciplinary setting
• Flexible staffing patterns and part-time options available

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a wide spectrum of cardiac surgical and interventional cardiology patients.
• Teach and mentor fellows, residents, SRNAs, and students in cardiac anesthesia.
• Participate in clinical and educational research with institutional support.
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists, and intensivists.
• Contribute to flexible staffing models and staffing optimization.
