Job summary

IBC Bank is seeking a Switchware Card Administrator to monitor IBC Switchware/Informix/AIX environments and the OnDot Card Control system. You will work with vendors and internal teams to plan upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and document root causes and solutions.

The role requires knowledge of ISO 8583, EFT, debit card processing, and SQL scripting, with a bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent Card Service experience. Office-based role in San Antonio, TX with after-hours support expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related Information Technology field or 4 years of Card Service experience.
• Ability to write basic SQL scripts when required by the business.
• Familiar with Software Development Life Cycle process and Change Management procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the Switchware/Informix/AIX environments and OnDot Card Control system.
• Provide subject matter expertise for transaction processing questions related to POS, ATMs and OnDot.
• Plan, provision, and execute updates/upgrades to the Switchware/Informix/AIX and OnDot environments in coordination with other groups.
• Assist in troubleshooting card-related issues reported by Card Services.
• Assist in gathering requirements, develop and test SQL scripts to satisfy requests or improve reliability.
• Assist in the Informix database server administration in coordination with the Informix vendor.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, propose fixes, and maintain card system quality.
• Be available after hours for outages or updates.
