Job description

Affinity FCU is looking for a Card Services Specialist to join our Card Services team. The Card Services Specialistis responsible for performing daily functions necessary to promote strong, exceptional member service levels regarding all ATM, debit and credit card matters. The Card Services Specialist corresponds between member cardholders, businesses, or other individuals to ensure proper procedures and actions are completed in regards to resolving disputed items.

The expected salary for a new hire in this position is $50k-$52k per year. The wage/salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several qualifying factors, including but not limited to: years of relevant experience, years of industry experience, education, etc.

This position is HYBRID, with some on-site work required at Affinity Headquarters in Basking Ridge, NJ.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handles credit and debit card dispute claims from members and takes appropriate action to resolve appropriately while following Visa and regulatory guidelines.
  1. Works with member and vendor or other individuals where applicable to resolve claims and avoid chargeback.
  2. Works with member to obtain all necessary claim information and submits for chargeback to Visa.
  3. Acts as an advocate for members to ensure positive resolutions
  4. Manages reconcilement of chargeback process on DNA/CCM Core System: chargeback, representment, pre-arbitration through to closure.
• Assists Branch and Hub personnel relative to Plastic Card account inquires.
  1. Provide general account information assistance
  2. Researches and responds appropriately to inquiries
  3. Assists with Rewards program inquiries and maintenance
• Performs Plastic Card account maintenance:
  1. Orders new plastics
  2. Expedited card requests via instant issue or central issue pull request
  3. Closes accounts at member request
  4. Blocks and reorders all plastic cards, as needed
  5. Manages the cards reported lost/stolen process thru Visa VRU
  6. Blocks all cards returned to processor for invalid mailing address
  7. Reviews and corrects daily AP Reject Report
  8. Processes cycle and limit change requests
• Handles In-House Card Embossing production
  1. Performs card production in accordance with security standards
  2. Participates in monthly balance audits
• Knows, follows and understands the standardized procedures and policies of the Card Services area.
• Provides back up as needed.

MISCELLANEOUS RESPONSIBILITIES

• All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 2-4 years of related work experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve problems.
• Proficient in the use of various software packages. This includes but is not limited to: Knowledge of DNA/CCM Core System, Outlook, Excel, Word helpful but willing to train. -
