Job Description

At Regions, the Data and Analytics Analyst transforms data into a meaningful format for operational and/or decision-making purposes. Focusing on day-to-day deliverables, this role works with senior analysts and managers to gather and interpret data for leaders to make data-driven decisions.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Modify reports to be valuable, readable, and presentable to stakeholders.
2. Assist in preparing visual reports/presentations for management.
3. Interpret, analyze, and provide insights to teams and managers to identify operational impacts, trends, and opportunities.
4. Perform data analysis to support data automation efforts.
5. Create and maintain databases for classification and storage of information.
6. Complete daily deliverables and ad-hoc data reports to support business needs and answer data-related questions.
7. Ensure data quality through audits, mining, and management.
8. Monitor data and analytics trends for continuous improvement opportunities.
9. Provide guidance to junior analysts, including training and tools.
10. Partner with the Data Governance team to implement and support data governance and quality requirements.

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or a related field, with two (2) years of experience in data analytics or a related role.
• Or, a Bachelor's degree in the same fields, with four (4) years of relevant experience.

Preferences

• Experience with analytical software such as SQL, SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of business intelligence tools like Tableau and Power BI.

Skills and Competencies

Highly Preferred Skills

This position is currently remote but may require onsite work in the future, with work schedule and location determined by management. Regions does not provide relocation assistance. Available locations include Birmingham AL, Nashville TN, Atlanta GA, Charlotte NC, Dallas TX, Denver CO, Houston TX, Orlando FL, Salt Lake City UT, and Tampa FL.

This role may be filled at a higher level depending on qualifications and experience.

Compensation

Pay ranges are based on market data and vary by individual factors such as experience, skills, and location. The target salary range for this role is approximately $77,465 to $97,840 USD. This position is not incentive-eligible.
