Job summary

Capital One, a leader in Card Risk, seeks a Director to guide a vertical risk management team across data, models, decisioning and platform controls within the DMDC org. You’ll partner with executives to drive risk solutions and enable enterprise change to protect the company’s stability.

You will supervise U.S. risk professionals, collaborate with business lines, and shape risk frameworks while owning strategic risk initiatives and governance across CDP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience.
• 7+ years of risk management experience in financial services or technology.
• 5+ years of program management experience.
• 5+ years of experience partnering and interacting with internal business clients.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• 3+ years of experience in reporting and analyzing data.
• 2+ years of data risk management or data product management experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with business partners to validate risk processes impacting the company's bottom line.
• Consult with Executives to determine interaction model with Lines of Business to create positive relationships.
• Drive finalization of risk category and subcategory framework.
• Perform critical assessments on risk categories to mitigate risk to the company.
• Perform extensive gap assessments and create recommendations to ensure smart business decisions.
• Use analytical skills to conduct Risk Process Improvement, Process Design & Process Excellence.
• Large scale Process Management/Governance.
• Work with dynamic teams on Departmental Process Management & Execution.
