Job summary

Upgrade is seeking a data-driven Sr Manager for its Card Credit Risk team to lead end-to-end line management strategy, including CLI policy design, sizing, and performance tracking across vintages and segments. You will partner with data science to build risk and utilization models and test innovations in CLI policy.

The role is hybrid, based in Wilmington or San Francisco, offering broad cross-functional exposure, career growth, equity, and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience in consumer finance or data-driven roles.
• Experience with credit line management / CLI policy in a credit card context.
• Strong analytical skills translating data into clear, strategic recommendations.
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Python.
• Familiarity with LLMs and AI-enabled innovation.
• Ability to identify and articulate business intuition in the data.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the SME for Card line management, including CLI, CLD, and closures.
• Take an integrated view of the business in developing CLI eligibility and increase amount policies.
• Own Credit Line Decrease (CLD) and closure policy, including triggers and treatment.
• Monitor CLI program performance by segments and dimensions to identify trends.
• Design and deploy policy enhancements based on data, industry trends, and business judgment.
• Partner with data science to develop line assignment and risk/utilization models.
• Design and deploy testing to inform future modeling and policy.
• Evaluate and launch tests or innovations to CLIs (timing, reactive, interactive).
• Partner to improve CLI program outcomes across income collection.
• Collaborate with business, product, marketing and others to deliver integrated outcomes.
