Dow Jones Energy is seeking an OPIS Carbon Markets Reporter in Houston (remote USA) to collect and analyze carbon credit trade data, assess daily pricing indexes, and contribute to news coverage on carbon markets and climate programs. You will report to the Director - Price Reporter and develop sources in the carbon industry.

• At least 3 years journalism or market analysis experience in environmental, commodities, or financial sector.
• Experience reporting on carbon markets (cap-and-trade/cap-and-invest/voluntary) or related markets.
• Ability to break down complex regulatory and market issues into clear content.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze carbon market price transactions.
• Verify transactions and apply pricing methodology for daily price assessments.
• Produce breaking and feature news alerts on carbon markets and related policies.
• Research new developments in carbon policies and programs.
• Develop social media content, blogs, and industry analyses.
