Job summary

Seekins Precision LLC in Idaho is seeking a Composites Tech to manufacture high-volume carbon fiber parts, using hand tools and molds, while maintaining quality and safety. The role requires attention to detail, basic math, and the ability to read blueprints for inspections.

You will lay up carbon fiber, cut patterns, sand and inspect parts, cast silicone shapes for layups, cure parts up to 350°F, and keep a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Intermediate math skills.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints for inspections.
• Ability to follow work instructions from lead or supervisor.
• Ability to work with little to no supervision.

Responsibilities

• Laying up carbon fiber into molds or mandrels.
• Cutting carbon fiber patterns for layups.
• Sanding and filing carbon fiber parts.
• Measuring and inspecting carbon fiber parts for accuracy.
• Casting silicone shapes for the layup process.
• Polishing and maintaining aluminum molds.
• Curing parts at temperatures up to 350°F.
• Maintaining a clean work environment.
