Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two-year associate degree preferred.
• Experience with carbon fiber, prepregs, and layup processes.
• Experience in a lab or manufacturing environment with composite materials.
• Familiarity with kitting, vacuum bagging, and compression molding.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work instructions.
• Attention to detail and troubleshooting in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform composite layup, molding, and bonding according to procedures.
• Prepare molds, tooling, and equipment for prototyping.
• Cut, trim, and shape composite materials with hand and power tools.
• Apply resins and adhesives to create composite structures.
• Conduct quality inspections and address defects.
• Operate vacuum pumps, ovens, and curing processes.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes with jigs and fixtures.
• Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain production records and ensure safety and organization.
• Analyze fabricated parts for cut-up performance.
