Job summary

Nike Beaverton, OR is seeking a Composite/Carbon Fiber Technician to fabricate and analyze composite components for prototyping and production. You will apply your expertise in carbon fiber and prepregs to deliver high‑quality parts that meet exacting specifications.

Responsibilities include layup, molding, bonding, mold preparation, trimming, and inspection. You will collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot, improve manufacturing processes, and maintain accurate production records while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree in Composites Technology is preferred.
• Strong understanding of carbon fiber and fiberglass prepregs and layup.
• Experience with kitting, vacuum bagging and compression molding processes.
• Proven experience working with composite materials and fabrication techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform composite layup, molding, and bonding following approved procedures.
• Prepare molds, tooling, and equipment for the prototyping process.
• Cut, trim, and shape composite materials using hand and power tools.
• Apply resins, adhesives, and prepregs to create composite structures.
• Conduct quality inspections to verify specifications and identify defects.
• Operate vacuum pumps, ovens, and curing equipment safely.
• Assist in developing manufacturing processes and tooling.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain thorough production records and material usage logs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace.
