Job summary

Circle K Stores Inc. is seeking a full-time manager-in-charge at Store 2709014 in Phoenix, AZ.

The role oversees daily operations when the Site Manager is unavailable, trains new hires, manages stocking and vending, and leads scheduling and training activities for the team in a busy outdoor car wash environment. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in retail with supervisory experience, strong sales/customer service skills, and proficient computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 6 months to 1 year retail and management work experience preferred.
• Three+ years of retail experience, with at least one year in a supervisory/management role.
• Leadership and communication skills including active listening.
• Experience with team building.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong work ethics and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Function as the manager in charge when Site Manager is unavailable.
• Responsible for ordering and stocking of vending.
• Provide training to new hires.
• Train on Opening/Closing checklists and loading techniques to teammates.
• Train Fast Pass sales techniques to the team.
• Respond to voicemails and emails in a timely manner.
• Create an effective schedule.
• Knowledge of Car Wash vacuum system operation.
• Clean the vacuum system (pressure washing).
• Support the Site Manager during monthly team meetings.
• Assist with on-site Supervisor Courses.
• Supervise teammates completing PM and assess training needs.
• Complete the GSR Daily Breakdown.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

EXPERIENCE

• Three+ years of retail experience, with at least one year in a supervisory/management role.
• Candidates with supervisory experience from a Big Box environment or auto industry, car wash or lube store are encouraged to apply.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others.
• This position works in a typical outdoor car wash environment.
• The noise level is usually moderate but can be excessively loud with hearing protection required (along with other PPE).
• This person must adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and protocols which means this person will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as, but not limited to hearing, eye, foot, hand protection.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

The team member must be capable of performing their responsibilities with minimal supervision.
