Job summary

TopGear Auto Auction seeks a meticulous Lot Operations Specialist to manage vehicle movement, staging, and inventory readiness on its busy auction lot. You’ll assist buyers, maintain lot organization, photograph inventory, and perform brief test drives to flag any mechanical concerns.

You must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving a manual transmission, outdoors in various weather, with a keen focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean record in the prior year.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission (stick shift).
• Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Reliable and safety-focused approach to handling high-value inventory.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Movement: Safely drive and maneuver vehicles around the auction lot.
• Staging: Organize and park vehicles in designated rows based on run numbers.
• Inventory Prep: Check batteries, fluids, tires to ensure vehicles are show-ready.
• Customer Assistance: Help buyers locate vehicles and answer basic questions; manage license plates daily.
• Lot Maintenance: Keep the lot clean, organized and secure.
• Vehicle Photography: Capture interior and exterior photos for online auction.
• Test Driving: Perform short test drives and report mechanical concerns.
