Capture Manager (Sr.)
Location: Herndon, VA (Remote)
Pay From: $170,000 Per Year
MUST:
- Senior Capture Manager
- Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Business Development and capture management in the Federal and DOD contracting environment
- 4+ years of proposal process experience in DOD contracting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience in technical writing
- Prior government/military service in aviation, airfields, logistics, services, and fuels
- Experience with DOD IDIQ programs
- Experience with large aviation CLS programs
- Proven ability to develop business at executive and mid-levels
- Strong management track record in BD, government program/project management
- Knowledge of decision makers, strategic direction, and major programs in the market
- Ability to up-sell and expand services from existing contracts
- Track record of developing business in new markets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Capability to develop and deliver sales presentations
- Proposal development expertise
- Success in targeting and winning service contracts
- Ability to leverage partnerships for sales strategies
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with multi-tasking ability
- Collaborative leadership skills
- Bachelor's degree; military experience or DoD training may substitute
DUTIES:
- Conducts market assessments and drives capture activities in Aerospace sector
- Identifies and qualifies new business opportunities, manages capture and proposals
- Maintains opportunity pipelines across various business lines, focusing on aviation logistics, maintenance, air operations, and training for clients like the U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, and other federal agencies
- Develops strategic business plans for aerospace markets
- Supports business development efforts and outreach events
- Builds and maintains customer relationships
- Analyzes RFPs for technical, schedule, content, and profitability aspects
- Evaluates business acquisitions and determines teaming strategies
- Supports proposal development and serves as SME in BD proposals
- Coordinates proposal reviews and assists with technical, management, and cost volumes
- Interacts with company and shareholders to promote a positive image
