Job summary

Cydecor is seeking a Capture Director to lead strategy and execution for priority opportunities across the DoD/DoW, IC, and broader national security market.

The Director will shape pursuits from qualification through award, coordinating with BD, Customer Engagement, Operations, pricing, contracts, and executive leadership to position wins effectively before solicitation.

Hybrid schedule includes 2-3 days in Crystal City, VA, with travel as needed for engagements and pursuits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 5+ years of Government contracting experience, including DoD/DoW or IC.
• Proven track record leading complex federal captures.
• Experience developing capture plans, win strategies, and teaming strategies.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with senior government and executives.
• Knowledge of Shipley or Lohfeld capture methodologies.
• Active Interim/Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Pricing/Finance, Contracts, and Operations on pricing and execution plans.
• Identify capture risks, gaps, and investments; advise on bid/no-bid decisions.
• Ensure capture outputs transition to the proposal team.

Cydecor is seeking a Capture Director to lead capture strategy and execution for priority opportunities across the Department of Defense/Department of War (DoD/DoW), Intelligence Community, and broader national security market.

The Director will lead qualified opportunities from capture initiation through proposal transition and award, developing the strategies, solutions, competitive positioning, and teaming approaches necessary to win. This role will work closely with Business Development, Customer Engagement, Operations, technical leadership, Pricing, Contracts, and executive leadership to ensure pursuits are effectively shaped and positioned well before solicitation release.

Responsibilities include

• Lead capture strategy and execution for priority opportunities from qualification through award.
• Develop and execute capture plans, win strategies, competitive assessments, value propositions, discriminators, and win themes.
• Assess customer requirements, acquisition strategies, budgets, evaluation drivers, competitors, and incumbent positioning.
• Partner with Business Development Leads and Director of Customer Engagement to translate customer intelligence and early engagement into actionable capture strategies.
• Lead development of solutions that align Cydecor's capabilities, technical approach, staffing, management strategy, and delivery model with customer requirements.
• Develop teaming strategies and evaluate partners based on capabilities, customer relationships, past performance, and competitive value.
• Partner with Pricing/Finance, Contracts, and Operations to develop competitive pricing and execution strategies.
• Identify capture risks, gaps, and required investments and recommend bid/no-bid and pursuit decisions to executive leadership.
• Ensure capture strategies, customer intelligence, solutions, discriminators, and win themes transition effectively to the proposal team.

Here's what you need (Required Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 5+ years of relevant Government Contracting experience, including significant capture leadership within the DoD/DoW, Intelligence Community, or national security market.
• Proven track record leading and winning complex competitive federal captures.
• Demonstrated experience developing capture plans, win strategies, competitive assessments, solutions, discriminators, and teaming strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior government, industry, and executive stakeholders.
• Experience developing customer and competitive positioning strategies before solicitation release.
• Strong strategic, analytical, leadership, facilitation, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of structured capture methodologies such as Shipley and/or Lohfeld.
• Minimum of an Interim or Active Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Bonus Points If You Have (Desired Qualifications)

• Interim or Active Top Secret or higher U.S. Government security clearance.
• Established experience and relationships within Cydecor's priority DoD/DoW and Intelligence Community markets.
• Experience capturing work involving software development, data analytics, mission support, and multi-domain communications.
• Experience with IDIQs, GWACs, task orders, and other federal acquisition vehicles.
• Experience with SBIR/STTR, OTAs, CSOs, or technology-transition opportunities.
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and DoD acquisition and budgeting processes.
• Experience leading large, strategic, or complex captures involving multiple teammates and solution areas.
• Previous experience leading and developing capture professionals.

Security Clearance

• Interim or Active Secret security clearance.

Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Work Schedule

• Hybrid, 2-3 days in office per week in Crystal City, Virginia. Travel as required for customer engagements, partner meetings, and active pursuits.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected total cash compensation for this position is anticipated to be in the range of $200,000-300,000, provided agreed upon performance targets are achieved. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.
