• Interacts with management, staff, visitors, inmates and the public to maintain orderly and secure operations.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid Operator’s License

DCJS Certification

Working knowledge of departmental policies, institutional policies, operating practices, procedures, and inmate programs

Progressive security working experience within the Virginia Department of Corrections

Experience in the supervision of corrections staff

Additional Considerations
