Job summary

Foxconn Industrial Internet seeks a driven Supply Chain PM Intern for a semester-long capstone engagement in Houston, TX. You will own an end-to-end project analyzing the AC product line commit process, design a pre-commit gating framework, and build a simulation model to improve commitment accuracy with real operational impact.

Collaborate with the planning team, establish baseline metrics, perform root cause analysis, and demonstrate improvements through live-data pilots.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university.
Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field.
Completion of coursework in production planning/operations research/quantitative methods is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Document and map the end-to-end commit process for the AC product line, including MPS loading, MRP output review, constraint gating, and customer-facing steps.
Establish baseline commit accuracy metrics by analyzing historical commit vs. actual shipment data.
Conduct root cause analysis of commit misses and build a Pareto of top drivers.
Design a pre-commit gating analysis framework and checklist evaluating capacity and constraints.
Build an Excel-based commit simulation model for CTB scenario testing.
Validate the simulation against historical data and run multiple scenarios.
Pilot the gating framework and model on live data and measure improvements.
Deliver a final recommendations report and implementation roadmap.
Present findings, the model, and recommendations to SCPM leadership.
