Job summary

The University of Miami/UHealth, Department of Public Health, invites applications for a temporary part-time Medical Student Advisor (Capstone Faculty Advisor). You will mentor MD/MPH students, help them develop and execute capstone projects, and provide ongoing feedback with program leadership to ensure successful completion.

Qualifications include a doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, MD, EdD, or equivalent) in a related field and at least 1 year of experience; professional licensure or certification

Qualifications

PhD, MD, DrPH, or EdD or equivalent in public health, medicine, health sciences, or related field.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
Licensure or certification preferred.
Learning agility and teamwork required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide academic advising and mentorship to MD/MPH students throughout the capstone experience.
Guide students in developing and completing capstone projects.
Review deliverables and provide constructive feedback.
Monitor progress and address academic or project-related concerns.
Collaborate with Capstone Coordinator and program leadership to ensure successful completion of capstone requirements.
