Job summary

University of Southern California is seeking a skilled project management professional to support construction project managers in administering and coordinating projects. You will help plan, organize, and report on project goals, costs, and schedules while ensuring compliance with contract parameters.

The role involves collaboration with architects, general contractors, and internal teams to maintain progress across multiple projects and phases, from design through closeout.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in project management, construction management or related fields.
• Directly related project or administrative experience.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Works on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects.
• Assists construction project managers in administration and coordination of projects to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished.
• Provides technical and contract management support to project manager during the design, construction and closeout phases of project.
• Prepares scopes, budgets and schedules for assignments.
• Assists with preparation of RFQ’s/RFP’s, and scoping statements and related documents for incorporation in contracts documents.
• Assists project manager with coordination between the architect and general contractor participants with GMP contracts.
• Conducts job walks monthly with construction contractors to validate percent completion for incurred costs.
