Yoh Life Sciences in Temple, TX is seeking a Capital Projects Manager-Chemical Manufacturing to lead maintenance and capital project execution, ensuring reliable plant operations. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in chemical, petrochemical, or relevant industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 2 years in a progressing management role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical controls, pumps, compressors, and process equipment.
  • Experience with CMMS platforms (Limble, SAP PM, Maximo, or similar).
  • Fluent in English (read, write, and comprehend).
  • Active, valid driver’s license and a good driving record for past 5 years.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and construction activities management: develop, plan, organize, lead and manage corrective/preventive/predictive maintenance programs and activities to ensure reliability and cost efficiency of the plant overall operations, within budget, and to standard.
  • Lead Execution of capital projects and plant upgrades: coordinate installation and commissioning following headquarters Engineering team plans, instructions, design and costs approved.
  • Equipment working conditions: collaborate with Operations teams to improve equipment uptime and reliability and ensure machinery and equipment are maintained in optimal working conditions.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance and technical staff.
  • Plant Turnarounds and Emergency Repairs: provide leadership in emergency repairs and plant shutdown/startup activities.
  • CMMS: ensure all maintenance work is documented and tracked via Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Cost Control: monitor and manage maintenance budgets, labor and contractor costs, spare parts inventory to reach budget goals.
  • Performance and Reporting: develop, implement and report maintenance performance reports, KPIs, and improvement initiatives to senior management and organization.
  • Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable safety and environmental regulations and policies.
  • People management and development: manage, train and mentor construction and maintenance staff, including contractors, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and industry standards.
  • Continuous improvement culture: analyze maintenance data to identify bad actors and flaws, propose and implement improvements to maximize reliability and reduce downtime and costs.
  • Cross functional initiatives: lead or participate in company cross-functional initiatives.

Job description

Yoh Life Sciences is hiring for a Capital Projects Manager-Chemical Manufacturing in Temple, TX. This role will be responsible for execution of capital projects and developing and implementing preventive/predictive maintenance programs, coordinating corrective maintenance ensuring equipment reliability, managing and mentoring a team of maintenance and construction professionals, and supporting operational excellence in a regulated, safety-first environment.

Duration: Direct Hire

Pay: $120,000/yr

Location: Temple, TX

Shift: M-F 8-5pm

Responsibilities

  • Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable safety and environmental regulations and policies, including chemical handling, waste disposal, and emergency procedures. Collaborate with Company organization to continuously improve safety
  • People management and development: Manage, train and mentor construction and maintenance staff, including contractors, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and industry standards. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Be the positive change agent. Comply with company people management processes (performance reviews, trainings etc.
  • Continuous improvement Culture: Analyze maintenance data to identify bad actors, and flaws, propose and implement improvements to maximize reliability, reduce downtime, minimize waste and costs
  • Cross functional initiatives: Lead or participate company x-functional initiatives.
Required
