Job summary

Nufarm in Chicago Heights, IL is seeking a dynamic CAPEX Project Manager responsible for delivering capital projects with emphasis on HSE, budget, and schedule. The role involves engaging plant stakeholders, developing scope and construction packets, securing permits, and coordinating downtime with production.

You will lead contractors, vendors, and the project team using established PM systems and Ariba for POs and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience as a project manager.
• Strong competency in engineering/construction project management and capital budget management.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from inception to completion to achieve the proposed results.
• Communicate design plans and progress to the plant.
• Work with the plant to create the best results.
• Use the established project management systems, tools, and processes.
• Develop MOC and offer HSE documentation for each project.
• Lead the construction manager, vendors, and contractors for the project, update project tracking documents.
• Use Ariba and other programs to enter POs, invoices, other documents, update site files and close out documents for the project.
• Manage contractors to complete the tasks safely and as designed; coordinate and communicate schedule and needs to the plant and contractors.
• Investigate improved manufacturing processes and techniques and implement where appropriate to drive improvements in cost, safety, quality or efficiency.
• Establish engineering standards for use at all facilities and with contract engineer firms.
• Lead by example and drive an incident free workplace; PTW program compliance.
