Job summary

LyondellBasell is seeking a Capital Project Manager to lead a portfolio of capital projects across APS manufacturing sites in the US or Mexico. You will drive safety, reliability, capacity, and automation goals from concept through startup and closeout.

You’ll coordinate internal teams and external partners, manage scopes, schedules, budgets, and risks, and deliver cost-effective solutions aligned with business objectives, with ~25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 7+ years in manufacturing, engineering, or capital project execution.
• Experience managing multiple capital projects in active manufacturing environments.
• Experience managing material handling, warehousing, packaging, logistics or automation projects.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of capital projects across APS sites from concept through startup and closeout.
• Develop and manage scopes, estimates, schedules, budgets, risks, and execution plans.
• Deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
• Partner with site teams to implement automation solutions that meet operational needs.
• Coordinate with operations, IT/OT, engineering partners, suppliers, and contractors through design, commissioning, startup, and handover.
• Lead project reviews, startup readiness activities, and stakeholder communications.
