Job summary

Alta Resource Technologies seeks an Associate Director, Capital Projects to lead the delivery of its first commercial-scale facilities and future capital programs. You will own end-to-end execution of projects around $100M, spanning brownfield and greenfield sites, partnering with R&D, engineering, and operations to manage schedule, cost, risk, and contractor performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Metallurgical or Process engineering.
• 7–12 years delivering capital projects in heavy processing industries.
• Led or co-led $50–100M+ capital projects through full lifecycle.
• Experience with brownfield and greenfield facilities.
• Strong scheduling, cost, risk controls and contractor oversight.
• Ability to partner with process engineers; understanding of plant design.
• Excellent stakeholder management and fast-moving environment communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the full project lifecycle from planning/FEED through detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules and budgets; track costs and forecast variances.
• Lead day-to-day interface management with EPC firms, specialty contractors, equipment vendors, and Alta teams.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to schedule, cost, technical integration, and permitting.
• Coordinate pre-processing systems with the core protein-based separation process for performance and operability.
• Drive project controls, change management and documentation for a first-of-a-kind facility.
• Provide clear status reporting to the Executive Leadership.
• Mature capital project delivery processes and build a small project team over time.
