Job summary

Jewish Board is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager, Capital Projects to oversee day-to-day capital project sites in a hybrid NYC setting. You will ensure projects meet agency, city, and state standards, lead site visits, and supervise contractor performance.

The role requires strong field management skills, OSHA 30, and at least five years in capital project management. You will report on milestones, budgets, and timelines while collaborating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA 30 certification or better.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must understand construction documents and specifications and confirm contractor performance.
• Minimum 5 years in capital project management with field/superintendent experience.
• Familiar with agency, city and state regulations for capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Field site oversight with regular visits to capital project sites.
• Verify compliance with proposals, contracts and regulatory requirements.
• Track progress: milestones, budgets, timelines; prepare site visit reports.
• Serve as field liaison between Capital Projects team, contractors and stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of standards; implement best practices from Superintendent/Field PM roles.
