Job summary

VALiNTRY Services seeks an experienced Project Engineer, Capital Projects to plan, develop, and execute capital improvement projects from initial concept through commissioning and final completion.

The role will manage an annual capital budget of approximately $1 million or more and collaborate with operations, maintenance, finance, contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Requires 12+ years in project engineering or capital project management.
• Experience managing industrial capital projects within manufacturing or similar environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects through concept to closeout.
• Strong planning, budgeting, cost control, scheduling and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Identify, scope, and prioritize capital projects based on operational needs and strategy.
• Perform feasibility studies, cost estimates, ROI analyses, and risk assessments.
• Develop charters, designs, scopes of work, and funding requests.
• Lead projects through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and closeout.
• Create detailed schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Manage contractors, vendors, and engineering firms.
• Oversee procurement of equipment, materials, and services.
• Conduct site inspections for progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Ensure work meets specs, standards, and safety requirements.
• Manage annual capital budget around $1M+.
• Track costs, approve invoices, handle change orders, and maintain records.
• Identify cost savings without compromising quality or safety.
• Prepare and present updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance to integrate projects.
