Job summary

Golden State Water Company is seeking a Project Engineer I/II to support delivery of capital projects and to act as a liaison with City, County and other government agencies.

The Project Engineer I role assists in construction oversight, scheduling and budgeting under supervision; the Project Engineer II can work independently on smaller projects and may supervise staff. Travel is required periodically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or environmental engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of project management software (MS Project) preferred.
• Experience with PowerPlan and JD Edwards a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in oversight of construction activities for capital projects.
• Coordinate internal and external resources and schedules.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules and budgets; report progress.
• Ensure quality control and implement corrective actions.
• Travel as required by project needs; up to 2 nights per month for II, more for I as needed.
