Job summary

Golden State Water Company in California is seeking a Project Engineer I/II to manage capital projects, coordinate with city, county and regulatory agencies, and ensure delivery on time and within budget.

The Project Engineer II role works more independently on multiple projects and may supervise staff and report to the Capital Program Manager. A civil/mechanical/environmental engineering degree (or construction management) and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in civil, mechanical, or environmental engineering or construction management.
• Strong oral and written communication and analytical skills.
• Experience with MS Project is preferred; PowerPlan and JD Edwards are plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in oversight of construction activities for assigned capital projects.
• Coordinate resources between operations and customer service to meet schedules.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules and budgets; report progress to supervisor.
• Monitor quality control and field changes; present progress reports.
