Job summary

Cargill in Wahpeton, ND seeks an Engineer II to optimize interconnected components of a manufacturing system. You will develop engineering standards, coordinate plant location, personnel workflow, and ergonomics, as well as materials logistics and production sequencing.

Responsibilities include leading capital project scope, schedule, and budget, collaborating with facilities engineers, and solving manufacturing problems to maintain quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in the development of capital project scope, schedule, and budget while following project management deliverables and best practices.
• Collaborate on manufacturing plant and facilities engineers with facility planning and design.
• Responsible for conducting cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revise operating methods.
• Help analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems, or the causes of component failures.
• Design and improve manufacturing processes, instruments and equipment, and testing manufactured products to maintain quality.
• Establish methods to maximize use of production facilities and personnel.
• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned
