Job summary

Danone North America is seeking a Project Engineer based at Mt. Crawford, Virginia to lead capital projects across packaging, processing and utility areas. You will drive small to large‑scale initiatives using solid project management and cross‑functional teamwork.

This role focuses on CAPEX approvals, vendor and contractor coordination, and adherence to Danone Engineering Standards in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from accredited college or university.
• 3+ years in project engineering experience; CPG beverage/food manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as Engineering point of contact for facility internal customers.
• Provide technical assistance as required.
• Attend facility leadership meetings.
• Provides project management and expertise for all capital projects.
• Identifies, creates, and submits necessary documents for CAPEX approval.
• Review Capital Projects Contracts.
• Create POs (Purchase Orders) for Capital Projects.
• Coordinate and lead multi-functional teams within the project.
• Track and manage Capital and Project Expense.
• Schedules, directs, and inspects the work of contractors/vendors.
• Reports on progress and conformance to project work plans.
• Manages project schedules, budgets and cashflows.
• Demonstrate proficiency for Danone Engineering Standards.
• Responds to emergency calls, as needed.
