Job summary

General Mills Hannibal plant seeks a Senior Project Engineer to execute capital projects, from scope development and cost estimation to system design, equipment sizing and procurement.

This role reports to the Plant Technical Manager and demands leadership of cross-functional teams to deliver on-time, within-budget project outcomes and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of project engineering experience in a continuous manufacturing environment.
• Prior capital project management experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineer on capital projects including budget, schedule and construction management.
• Develop and maintain system design standards; improve existing standards as needed.
• Collaborate with Research & Development, Quality, Manufacturing and Finance teams.
• Ensure compliance with plant manufacturing, engineering, quality and research functions.
• Provide innovative technical solutions to meet business objectives and productivity goals.
• Support annual capital planning and capital program management for an operating department.
