Job summary

The City of Conroe is seeking a Project Technician to support Capital Infrastructure projects by coordinating administrative and technical processes throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include managing tap applications, assisting with project submittals, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.

The ideal candidate must possess a High School diploma and two years of experience in construction or public works. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for this role. The starting salary is $25.744 hourly and various benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of related experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports delivery of Capital Infrastructure projects.
• Manages tap applications and project submittals.
• Monitors project timelines and ensures compliance.

Skills

Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures

Knowledge of permitting software such as OpenGov

Knowledge of Capital Infrastructure project processes

Understanding of contract documents

Skill in both written and oral communication

Ability to provide excellent customer service

Ability to work independently
