Job summary

Central Park Conservancy, New York, seeks a Construction Coordinator in the Capital Projects department. You will monitor field work, coordinate daily activities, and ensure quality and safety across landmarked Park projects.

Reporting to the Vice President for Construction, you will maintain reports, assist in payments, and uphold the Conservancy’s high public image while coordinating with contractors and consultants.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, landscape architecture, architecture or related field; or 2–4 years of relevant construction experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor field work by landscape, building, and site contractors.
• Coordinate daily fieldwork and site meetings with contractors, Conservancy staff, and consultants.
• Inspect material deliveries and completed work for quality and conformance with contract documents.
• Assist in field measurements and calculations for contract payments.
• Maintain safe, professional site practices and up-to-date project files and reports.
