Job summary

Morgan Stanley in New York is seeking an Associate in the Capital Planning team to work on regulatory and internal deliverables. The Finance division partners with business units globally, providing management, analysis, and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources.

You will support CCAR and stress testing governance, produce materials for senior management and board meetings, and help update governance policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of finance and regulatory environment.
  • Ability to summarize governance requirements clearly and concisely.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
  • Responsible for both individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging knowledge of Finance functional area, tools and/or products
  • Adhere to the Firm’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls
  • Act as a culture carrier; embody the Firm's values and hold yourself accountable to Firm standards
  • Support execution of CCAR and Quarterly Stress Test governance, including producing meeting materials for senior management and Board-level meetings, setting quarterly and on-going governance requirements/calendar
  • Provide guidance to input providers on bridging the gap between governance requirements and how they are applied in practice; collaborate with various stakeholders on annual policy and procedures narrative updates
  • Liaise with Internal Audit and Process Validation functions
  • Support capital planning governance initiatives/regulatory requests
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to review and challenge management assumptions and overlays
