Capital Markets Senior Financial Analyst (Multifamily)

Job Title: Capital Markets Senior Financial Analyst (Multifamily)

Job Description Summary: The Capital Markets Senior Financial Analyst (“CMFA”) will support transactions generated by Cushman & Wakefield’s Capital Markets brokerage services, focusing on multifamily valuation analyses. Senior Analysts will perform complex financial activities such as pricing, Excel valuation model creation, due diligence, and translating analysis findings into high-level summaries for brokers.

Location and Schedule: The ideal candidate will be based in Charlotte or Dallas, working on-site with a hybrid schedule. Some travel and outside hours may be required based on market demands.

Essential Duties:

1. Lead complex broker financial analysis and modeling, including project management on high-value transactions.
2. Prepare pro forma statements, discounted cash flow analyses, and financial models considering current and historical market conditions.
3. Audit financial models for accuracy and assumptions, identifying data gaps.
4. Conduct market research and synthesize findings clearly.
5. Communicate with brokers to confirm scope, review findings, and revise analyses as needed.
6. Identify missing information or unclear requests for accurate analysis.
7. Create high-level summaries highlighting transaction considerations, trends, and anomalies.
8. Mentor junior analysts and support their development.
9. Develop training materials and participate in process improvements and automation initiatives.
10. Perform quality control reviews and ensure work meets scope and quality standards.
11. Stay informed on real estate fundamentals and industry trends.
12. Support process improvement projects and user testing.
13. Perform other duties as required.

Other Requirements & Administrative Duties:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, etc.) or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of financial analysis and modeling experience; Capital Markets experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of real estate financial concepts, especially multifamily underwriting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• High-quality work ethic, meeting deadlines, and exceeding expectations.
• Critical thinking, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.
• Effective time management and proactive approach.
• Growth mindset and willingness to share knowledge.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
