Cooley LLP in Los Angeles seeks an associate with 2-7 years of capital markets and public securities experience to represent companies and underwriters in IPOs and equity transactions. The role focuses on technology, consumer/retail and life sciences sectors.

The ideal candidate will handle corporate governance and SEC reporting matters for public companies and manage day-to-day client relationships for sophisticated clients.

Overview

Cooley LLP has an opportunity available in its internationally recognized corporate practice; associates with two to seven years of capital markets and public securities experience are encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates will have experience (i) representing companies and/or underwriters in public securities offerings, including IPOs and other equity or equity-linked transactions, with a focus on the technology, consumer/retail and life sciences sectors; (ii) representing public companies in a wide variety of matters including corporate governance and SEC and exchange reporting and compliance; and (iii) managing client relationships and handling the day-to-day demands and work flow requirements of a variety of clients with sophisticated needs. Ideal candidates will have worked in the capital markets department of a national or international law firm, and will have a high level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school. EOE. The expected annual pay range for this position is $235,000-$420,000. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
