Job summary

Cognizant Consulting is seeking an Associate Director – Program Manager in the Capital Markets domain. You will lead discovery, analysis, design and transformation of post-trade capabilities for a major institutional brokerage, focusing on modernizing mainframe-based functionality and end-to-end trade lifecycle processes.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of overall professional experience in capital markets, financial services operations, consulting, technology transformation or related areas.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in capital markets post-trade, operations or consulting within a broker-dealer, clearing firm, custodian or investment bank.
• Deep understanding of the securities trade lifecycle and middle- and back-office functions.
• Strong domain and functional experience across listed capabilities such as equities processing, custody, settlements, regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery, functional analysis, requirements definition and solution design across capital markets post-trade transformation and modernization initiatives.
• Lead and own capability workstreams focused on rebuilding mainframe-based functionality for institutional brokerage.
• Apply understanding of end-to-end securities trade lifecycle to identify requirements, dependencies and rules.
• Reverse engineer existing mainframe capabilities and translate findings into future-state requirements.
• Provide domain leadership to business, operations and engineering stakeholders.
• Develop and quality-review detailed functional specifications, business rules, acceptance criteria and evidence packs.
• Collaborate with Managing Directors, Operations and Engineering teams to resolve design issues.
• Champion AI-enabled approaches for discovery and reverse engineering to accelerate analysis.
• Support development of target-state capabilities ensuring alignment of business and technology.
• Mentor consultants and contribute to client engagements and thought leadership.
