Nearwater Capital is seeking an Associate, Capital Markets Operations in New York to support the firm’s OTC and listed markets across the trade lifecycle. You will coordinate settlements, reconciliations, and collateral management while partnering with desks, Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Technology to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of direct experience in financial services or prime brokerage middle office performing derivatives operations.
• Operational functions include Settlements, Trade Lifecycle Management, Margin, Reconciliations, Trade Support, and Corporate Actions.
• Knowledge of Cash Equity and Equity Total Return Swap products; broader market familiarity.
• Strong Excel and data-analysis skills; experience with Alteryx, Python, SQL, VBA, Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Manage trade lifecycle and settlements for Total Return Swaps, equities, fixed income, and related instruments.
• Oversee collateral management, reconciliations, and margin processes across multiple accounts.
• Provide monthly metrics reporting to Compliance, Finance, Risk, and Management.
• Identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and control refinements.
• Collaborate with Trading desks, Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Technology.
