Job Summary

Pravati Capital is seeking an ambitious Capital Markets Associate to join our team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and CEO, this role is primarily responsible for spearheading and facilitating our fundraising endeavors as well as managing our existing investor client relationships.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a growing fund manager and play a pivotal role in achieving our growth objectives. It involves direct interaction with prospective and current investors, demanding the highest standards of professionalism and client service. The role requires significant engagement with investors through calls, presentations, and pitches. Ideal candidates will possess a basic understanding of private market funds or have a basic background in finance or economics. They should also be self‑starters, willing to dive into the details to facilitate the capital‑raising process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage prospective investors through outreach, scheduling meetings, and conducting in‑person or virtual conferences. May involve making up to 25 phone calls daily.
  • Prepare due diligence materials, presentations, and assist with ad hoc requests from investors related to their potential investment in our fund(s).
  • Organize and maintain prospective investor contacts while updating profile information in the company's CRM system. Curating lead and call lists.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining marketing materials, pitch decks, and presentations.
  • Collaborate on strategic capital‑raising initiatives and marketing efforts.
  • Address information requests from existing investors and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication.
  • Attend capital markets and industry conferences, participating in road shows as required, including periodic domestic and international travel (up to 30% of the time).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
  • 1‑3 years of experience in capital markets or investor relations within private equity, venture capital, private debt, hedge funds, investment banking, or institutional asset management. Sales and marketing experience is also acceptable.
  • Comfortable with phone‑based outreach and outbound marketing efforts.
  • Exceptional multitasking skills, process‑oriented, and adept at managing complex situations.
  • Proficiency with marketing tools and CRM software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Should possess a fair amount of financial acumen, with a good understanding of financial markets and different types of investment strategies. Private debt experience is highly desired.
  • Has familiarity with SEC regulations as it pertains to investment advisors and private funds.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Resides in the Phoenix‑Scottsdale metro area or is willing to relocate.
