Freddie Mac is seeking a Capital Markets Software & Data Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in McLean, VA. You will work with Python, Snowflake, and AI-enabled tools to build production-grade data solutions supporting multifamily securitization platforms.

You’ll collaborate with engineers and business partners in an Agile setting, applying strong coding practices, testing, and documentation while learning fixed-income concepts.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Expected graduation May 2028.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, OOP, databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop Hands-on Automation across securitization and CRT workflows.
• Build Modern Data Pipelines using Snowflake and Python.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to automate repetitive coding tasks.
• Support rules-based systems with deterministic workflows.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment with Capital Markets partners.
• Adhere to engineering standards: version control, testing, docs, controls.
