Job summary

HCA is seeking a Consulting professional with an accounting background and GASB 34 experience for nationwide travel. The role is salaried (W-2) and 100% remote, with data collection at universities, hospitals, and other facilities.

The ideal candidate will analyze data for project planning and work with senior team members to solve client-specific challenges. Travel will be extensive (50–70%), with Excel proficiency and background in public accounting preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of public accounting experience dealing with GASB 34 compliance.
• Strong data interpretation and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Word; familiarity with Access is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect data and locate equipment at client sites such as universities, colleges, and hospitals.
• Analyze data for project planning, execution and closure.
• Collaborate with senior team members to address client challenges.
• Learn basic principles of commercial building construction and apply GASB 34 compliance knowledge.
• Interface with clients via meetings or calls to discuss scope and findings.

HCA is looking for candidates with Accounting degrees with experience in GASB compliance and traveling for work. HCA trains its employees to be proficient with equipment inventories, cost segregation, and space utilization studies, all while learning from the best in the business. And we award for your performance. This role will involve regular travel in Kansas, Missouri, and other states. This is a salaried (w-2), 100% remote position

As a Consultant with HCA, a typical day might include:

• Collecting data and locating equipment at universities, colleges, and hospitals
• Analyzing data for project planning, execution and closure
• Working with senior team members to solve client-specific challenges
• Learning basic principles of commercial building construction
• Using your GASB 34 compliance knowledge to interpret data
• Interfacing with clients via meeting or telephone to discuss project scope and findings
