Job summary

OSU Oregon State University is seeking a Capital Finance Manager within Financial Accounting and Reporting to oversee financial operations of the capital program, coordinate with Project Managers, and deliver accurate budget and financial reports.

This full-time 12-month professional faculty role reports to the Director of FAR and requires strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, plus experience with Workday Projects and internal controls. Hybrid schedule with supervisor approval.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field plus 3 years analytics experience.
• Experience identifying opportunities to improve processes via business analysis.
• Strong facilitation and organization skills.
• Ability to work with stakeholders at various levels in the organization.
• Independent judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent listening and written/oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel (intermediate-advanced).
• Experience with Workday financial modules is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial operations for OSU capital program including budgeting and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with institutional, state, federal, and sponsor requirements.
• Supervise staff responsible for financial, accounting, and project operations.
• Serve as the Workday Projects module functional resource.
• Monitor data to ensure accurate and reliable financial information.
