Job summary

Connecticut Children’s Medical Center is seeking a Manager of Capital Expenditures to lead fixed asset accounting, budgeting, and reporting within the Finance department. The role focuses on GAAP-compliant capitalization, lease accounting under ASC 842, and collaboration across departments to manage capital projects.

The position oversees Oracle fixed assets, month-end close, and external audit readiness, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of GAAP, fixed asset accounting, capitalization policies, and lease accounting.
• Experience with capital budgeting processes and budget-to-actual variance analysis.
• Experience supporting external audits and preparing audit schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage all capital activity in the Oracle fixed assets module, including additions, disposals, transfers, and adjustments.
• Prepare monthly depreciation and amortization entries and reconcile fixed asset accounts.
• Support annual capital budget process and monitor budget-to-actual variances.
• Produce bond covenant, regulator, and board reporting disclosures related to capital expenditures.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Accounts Payable, and Financial Planning to deliver timely reporting.
